Question: I heard a stewardess saying that our flight was ETA 15 zulu... well I was quite confused but we landed in London in time.

Definition: Zulu time is also known as UTC (Universal Time Co-ordinated). It was GMT (Greenwich Mean Time), was but a lot of people I know still use GMT. Zulu time is the standard time used for flight operations globally. 15 zulu is 15 GMT or 15 UTC or 6am EST, 5am CST and 3am PST.

You can also hear 1500 zulu (say fifteen hundred, not 15 and 00) .

ETA stands for Estimated  Time of Arrival.  Your stewardess said that your flight was scheduled to land at 3pm UTC.
