Carnival Cruise Lines continues to redefine contemporary cruising with "Today's Carnival," a term coined by the line to describe its commitment to enhancing all aspects of the "Fun Ship" vacation experience.

A "Fun Ship" cruise includes upgraded cuisine and new and expanded facilities, as well as a greater variety of onboard activities and shore excursions. Guests can enjoy a spectacular outdoor wraparound promenade, a wedding chapel, and a reservations-only supper club serving world-famous stone crabs from the renowned Joe's Stone Crab Restaurant in Miami Beach.

Total Choice Dining

Carnival considers dining to be the highlight of any "Fun Ship" vacation. Total Choice Dining is one of the cruise industry's most comprehensive dining programs, offering the widest variety of formal and casual options available at sea.

In addition to delightful lunch and dinner menus and expanded wine lists, Carnival ships feature such innovations as 24-hour pizzerias and the Seaview Bistro's alternative dinnertime service. Lobster is served as an entree on every "Fun Ship." Carnival's popular Lido-area eateries offer full breakfast and lunch buffets, including meat-carving stations, pasta stations, and expansive salad bars. A New York-style deli and Asian and Italian specialty venues are available on select ships.

The 24-hour room service menu features a variety of freshly made items delivered to guest cabins at any time of the day or night. Patisseries, offering specialty coffees and sweets, and sushi bars, featuring authentic Asian delicacies, are now available on a number of ships. Carnival's legendary midnight buffets feature a wide range of delicious hot and cold items complemented by a selection of lighter fare.

Entertainment

Carnival's dazzling Vegas-style revues, featuring high-tech video projections, lasers, pyrotechnics, and elaborate sets and costumes, are presented in multi-decked show lounges, some of which can accommodate up to 1,500 guests.

Carnival's friendly casinos are among the largest at sea and feature the most popular games of chance, including slot machines, roulette, blackjack, and Caribbean stud poker.

The Carnival fleet offers a multitude of themed lounges designed to suite the tastes of each guest. Cheer on your favorite team at the sports bar, or sing along to your favorite song at the piano bar. Dazzling entertainers help set the mood for a night of love, laughter, and relaxation.

Spa Carnival
Carnival's fleet-wide "Spa Carnival" program features some of the largest and most elaborate health clubs at sea.

The Carnival fleet offers a full gym complete with free weights and the latest fitness equipment. Each ship features sophisticated Keiser progressive resistance exercise machines, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming pools. Professionally supervised exercise classes are also available onboard, including high and low-impact aerobics classes, step aerobics classes, aqua and senior aerobics classes, and specialized calisthenics, relaxation, and stretching sessions. Carnival offers organized mile-long walks on the upper decks, and guests looking to enjoy the fresh sea air can work out on the ship's one-eighth-mile jogging tracks.

The spa's facilities offer guests a variety of ways to pamper themselves. Treatments range from the conventional -- full-body massages, seaweed wraps, and mud packs -- to the exotic. Several soothing "European-style" therapies are available, including Ionithermie Superdetoxification Treatment and the re-energizing La Therapie. Hydrotherapy baths, featuring a personal Jacuzzi-like tub, combine seaweed, aromatherapy, special oils, and other ingredients to create a soothing, rejuvenating sensation.

Select ships also feature virtual bicycles -- guests can "tour" a variety of routes, including mountain pathways and snow-covered trails.

Carnival's continuing commitment to healthier lifestyles is reflected in the line's spa cuisine. Special menu symbols designate dishes that are lower in fat, sodium, cholesterol, and calories. Poultry and meats are broiled or roasted, salads are prepared with low-fat or fat-free dressings, and dessert items are made using sugar substitutes. Vegetarian dishes are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Camp Carnival
With the dramatic increase in family cruising -- a record 350,000 kids sailed the "Fun Ships" in 2003 -- Carnival continues to expand the selection of activities, amenities, and facilities at "Camp Carnival," the industry's-rated children's program. Children can make new friends while splashing around in the wading pool or on the waterslide, watching a puppet show, or enjoying a pizza party. Recent enhancements include high-tech play areas featuring computer labs, indoor climbing mazes, updated children's menus, and a new turn-down service providing kids with freshly baked cookies on the first and last night of their voyage.

Teens can interact with peers aboard the "Fun Ships." Activities created just for teens include talent shows, sports, and photography workshops. During the evening hours, teen activities include dances, pool parties, and movie nights.

Shore Excursions
Carnival's shore excursions are designed to keep pace with today's active lifestyles. Guests can choose from adventure-style tours featuring kayaking, scuba diving, championship golfing, and flightseeing, as well as a range of traditional activities including nature walks and city tours. The fleet-wide golf program includes visits to magnificent courses in the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico, Belize, Key West, and Hawaii.

Fountain Fun Card
Carnival features a "Fountain Fun Card," providing unlimited soft drinks for children throughout the duration of their cruise. The adult "Fountain Fun Card," purchased onboard and valid at any bar, restaurant, or lounge in the Carnival fleet, offers guests the convenience of purchasing sodas for one upfront price.

The "Fountain Fun Card" program is available on all "Fun Ship" voyages, three to 17 days in length, to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, and New England.

Guests With Special Needs
Carnival is dedicated to offering the finest cruising experience to guests with disabilities and special needs.

Carnival offers accessible staterooms with wide entry doors, accessible closet rods, shelves, safe, telephones, desks, and bathrooms with roll-in showers and grab bars. Guests may request portable TTY kits prior to boarding.

All showrooms, lounges, and dining rooms have accessible seating areas. Carnival Spas offer accessible gym equipment, and guests can request to have a spa representative render services in their cabin.

"Fun Ship" Fleet
Carnival Cruise Lines isn't just the largest cruise line in the world -- 21 "Fun Ships" will be sailing by the end of 2004 - it's also one of the most popular. The line's fleet is one of the newest and most modern in the industry. The 110,000-ton, 2,974-passenger superliners, Carnival Conquest and Carnival Glory, are the largest vessels in Carnival's "Fun Ship" fleet.

The 88,500-ton, 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle will debut in spring 2004, and the 2,974-ton, 110,000-passenger Carnival Valor is scheduled for a fall delivery.

Carnival offers a choice of itineraries, ranging from two-night to 17-night cruises, to worldwide destinations including the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, Bermuda, New England, and the Canadian Maritimes.

The line, formed in 1972, celebrates more than 30 years of offering its passengers a quality cruise vacation. "Today's Carnival," however, is a vastly different company than the one started from humble beginnings over three decades ago. Carnival was launched with a single converted transatlantic ocean liner. Entrepreneur Ted Arison, a pioneer in the modern-day cruise industry, set out to realize his vision of making a vacation experience once reserved for the very rich accessible to the average person. The rest, as they say, is history.

World's Leading Cruise Lines
Carnival Cruise Lines is a member of the exclusive World's Leading Cruise Lines alliance, which also includes Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, The Yachts of Seabourn, Princess Cruises, and Windstar Cruises. Together, these member lines share a commitment to quality and value, offering cruise vacations that appeal to a wide range of lifestyles and budgets and sail to some of the world's most exciting destinations.
