How can I file a complaint or make a comment about an airline?

If you are unable to satisfactorily resolve an issue by going through the chain of command at the airport, a formal letter may be in order. When writing such a letter, there are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Include your name, address, and daytime phone number.
- Include your flight number, the date, and cities of travel.
- If your complaint is about a specific employee, include his/her name.
- Be sure to keep to the point. Don't include irrelevant information.
- Never enclose original documents--always copies.
- If appropriate, send a copy of your letter to the US Department of Transportation (address below).
